The Loneliness of the Forgotten Chip

He's not obese for the normal reasons that everyone gives.

He hasn't got a problem with his diet,

It's not psychological.

His thyroid is functioning within normal parameters,

and his motions are all well and good.

It's not because he binges when he's depressed,

Or enjoys his grub too much.

It's just because he feels sad about the lonesome chip

In solitude in a bin bag in some rotting tip.

He's a chipaterian, a pea-saver, a potato-pairer.

He can't live with the thought of a lonely baked bean,

Without the company of a corner of toast or bit of sausage skin.
