Real Masculinity

A nice new house

My wife's really pleased

with a patio door to the garden

for a luxury Summer of ease

A shed for my tools

that I should have left behind

my wife doesn't like it

when I rewire, build or grind.

I may not be Angelo

a constant artist

My creations pose question

but when its DIY, I persist

Its something about a power drill

when held in a mans hand

a Rambo-type, Godly-like

urge to destroy

Drill or make new a hole or two not needed

stand my progress and I'll build me a bird-table

With army / navy store cast-offs

bags of B&Q plaster

six inch nails and puppy-dogs' tails

that's what real men are made of!
